25.19. Elements of system of a washer of a windshield and headlights

The tank of windscreen washer of a windshield is located in a motor compartment. On models with washers of headlights supply of liquid to jets is carried out by the additional pump from the same tank.

Tank for windscreen washer liquid

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove liquid from a windscreen washer tank.
2. Disconnect the electric socket from the windscreen washer pump. Being careful, take the pump from a windscreen washer tank. Check a condition of sealing rings of the pump for existence of damages or wear and, if necessary, replace.
3. Disconnect the electric socket from the liquid level sensor.
4. Unscrew nuts and bolts of fastening and remove a windscreen washer tank. Wash out a tank clear cold water.
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Fill in liquid in a tank and check its tightness.

Windscreen washer pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket and a hose from the windscreen washer pump (see rice. A windscreen washer pump arrangement in the tank basis).
2. Being careful, take the windscreen washer pump from a tank and remove a sealing ring of the pump. Wash away liquid smudges cold water.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check a condition of a sealing ring and, if necessary, replace it. Fill in liquid in a windscreen washer tank and check its tightness.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the liquid level sensor and, being careful, take the sensor from a tank. Remove a sealing ring of the sensor and wash away liquid smudges cold water (see rice. 2. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check a condition of a sealing ring of the sensor and, if necessary, replace it. Fill in liquid in a windscreen washer tank and check its tightness.

Windshield washer jets

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Open a cowl and from the inside of a cowl uncover for access to a back part of a jet.
2. Disconnect a washer hose from a jet. In the presence disconnect the electric socket from a jet.
3. Release a bracket of fastening and, being careful, take a jet from a cowl.
4. Establish a jet on a cowl and connect to it a hose and, in the presence, the electric socket. Close a cowl and check work of a jet. Adjust the direction of a stream of liquid by means of the needle inserted into a nozzle. Liquid has to move on a windshield from one nozzle slightly above the center, and from the second nozzle - is slightly lower than the center of a windshield.

Removal of a jet of a washer of headlights

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a headlight screen wiper brush in a starting position, then uncover the screen wiper lever. Unscrew a nut from a shaft of the lever of a screen wiper and remove the lever.
2. Exempt a washer jet from the screen wiper lever, then disconnect from it a hose and remove a jet (see rice. Removal of a jet of a washer of headlights).
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check reliability of fastening of a jet of a washer on the screen wiper lever.
