5.8.3. Lower cover of a driving chain

Prevention

At installation of the lower cover it is necessary to use sealant and a new sealing ring of round section for a pipe of cooling liquid. It is also desirable to replace a forward sealing ring of a bent shaft.

Removal

Unscrewing of bolts and arm from a cover of a driving chain
After weakening of the central bolt (A) of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt unscrew three bolts (V) and turn an arm (1) from a cover of a driving chain.

Removal of the lower cover of a driving chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Open a cowl and establish it in vertical position.
3. Remove an engine mudguard.
4. Remove the air filter.
5. Remove a krylchatka of the fan and the hydraulic coupling.
6. Unscrew the bolt fixing an air inlet tube to the forward panel of a body.
7. Take off an auxiliary driving belt.
8. Unscrew bolts and remove pulleys of an auxiliary driving belt.
9. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft / a quencher of tortional fluctuations and a nave.
10. Remove the top cover of a driving chain.
11. Weaken the central bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt, then unscrew three bolts and turn an arm from a cover of a driving chain aside (see rice. Unscrewing of bolts and an arm from a cover of a driving chain).
12. Unscrew two bolts of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of steering to an arm and turn the pump from the engine.
13. In the presence remove the air pump and move it aside, without disconnecting from it hoses.
14. Unscrew bolts and remove a radiator fan arm (see rice. Elements of fastening of an arm of the fan of a radiator and sensor of an angle of rotation of a bent shaft).
15. Unscrew a nut and remove the sensor of an angle of rotation of a bent shaft from an arm on a cover of a driving chain. Release a sensor electrical wiring from brackets of fastening and move the sensor aside.
16. Disconnect electric wires from the generator.
17. Unscrew four bolts of fastening of an arm of the generator to the engine and remove the generator together with an arm.
18. Working under the car, unscrew bolts of fastening of the oil pallet to the lower cover of a driving chain (see rice. An arrangement of bolts of fastening of the oil pallet to the lower cover of a driving chain). Note an arrangement of bolts as they have the different sizes.
19. Unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of the lower cover of a driving chain, noting their arrangement as bolts of various sizes are applied.
20. Remove the lower cover of a driving chain (see rice. Removal of the lower cover of a driving chain).
Prevention

At removal of the lower cover of a driving chain be careful not to damage laying of the oil pallet.

Installation

Putting sealant on the interfaced surfaces of the block of cylinders and the lower cover of a driving chain
After putting sealant check for the interfaced surfaces of the block of cylinders and the lower cover of a driving chain (A) that sealant did not get to canals of the camera of supply of oil to the mechanism of a tension of a driving chain (In).

Replacement of a sealing ring in an opening for the lower bolt of fastening of an arm of the fan of a radiator

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of the lower cover of a driving chain, the block of cylinders of the engine and the top cover of a driving chain.
2. Check a condition of laying of the oil pallet. If laying is damaged, replace it.
3. Clear a nest for a sealing ring.
4. Establish a new sealing ring in a cover nest.
5. Not to damage working edges of a sealing ring of a bent shaft at installation of the lower cover of a driving chain, wind with an adhesive tape a forward end face of a bent shaft.
6. Apply a thin film of sealant on the interfaced surfaces of the block of cylinders and a cover of a driving chain. Be careful that sealant did not get to the camera of supply of oil to the mechanism of a tension of a driving chain in a cover or to lubricant canals (see rice. Putting sealant on the interfaced surfaces of the block of cylinders and the lower cover of a driving chain).
7. Grease working edges of a sealing ring of a bent shaft with pure engine oil and install the lower cover of a driving chain on the block of cylinders.
8. Screw in the bolts fixing the oil pallet to a cover of a driving chain and, tighten them the required moment.
9. Screw in the remained bolts of fastening of a cover of a driving chain and tighten them the required moment.
10. Replace the sealing ring established in an opening for the lower bolt of fastening of an arm of the fan of a radiator in a cover of a driving chain (see rice. Replacement of a sealing ring in an opening for the lower bolt of fastening of an arm of the fan of a radiator).
11. Remove an adhesive tape from a forward end face of a bent shaft.
12. Install the generator and connect to it wires.
13. Install the sensor of an angle of rotation of a bent shaft on an arm on a cover of a driving chain and fix it by a nut.
Prevention

At installation of a new lower cover of a driving chain it is necessary to check and, if necessary to adjust position of the sensor of an angle of rotation of a bent shaft.

14. Establish an arm of the fan of a radiator and fix it by bolts.
15. In the presence install the air pump.
16. Install the pump of the amplifier of steering into place and fix by bolts.
17. Apply sealant from two parties on openings under a bolt of fastening of a cover of a driving chain in an arm of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt.
18. Turn an arm of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt into place and fix by bolts.
19. Establish the top cover of a driving chain.
20. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft / a quencher of tortional fluctuations and a nave.
21. Establish and fix by bolts pulleys of an auxiliary driving belt.
22. Establish an auxiliary driving belt.
23. Establish and fix by a bolt an air inlet tube.
24. Install the hydraulic coupling and a krylchatka of the fan of a radiator.
25. Install the air filter.
26. Establish the lower mudguard of the engine.
27. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.
28. Check level and, if necessary, add engine oil in the engine.
