Prevention

At installation it is necessary to use new bolts of fastening of the rubber coupling.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a steering column.

2. Using paint, note mutual position of the rubber coupling and a shaft of a gear wheel of the steering mechanism, then unscrew the lower bolt of fastening and remove the coupling.

3. Check a condition of a rubber element of the coupling for existence of cracks, damages and, if necessary, replace.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Combine the tags put before removal, and install the rubber coupling on a shaft of a gear wheel of the steering mechanism.

2. Screw in a new lower bolt of fastening of the rubber coupling and tighten it the required moment.

3. Establish a steering column.
